Stirling River Park looks on track to deliver good access

We have met with Ian White Associates, the landscape architects involved with the Stirling River Park, to discuss the 10 proposed pedestrian bridges that would cross the River Forth.

We are keen to ensure that their location is suitable for everyone. This includes ensuring that proper consideration is given to related issues like close parking, flat and level access, regular seating points and segregated bike lanes on the bridges. We also raised the subject of proximity of toilets to ensure people can access suitable facilities with reasonable ease.

Overall, we feel that this is a good project that is meeting standards for access.

Stirling River Park is a joint project by Stirling Council and Scottish Natural Heritage to transform the meandering River Forth corridor into an open space that supports a range of outdoor activities for local people and visitors. Find out more.
